MR.TOY to host inaugural nationwide remote control car tourney
KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 11): MR.TOY, a subsidiary of MR.DIY Group Bhd (MR.DIY), is set to host its inaugural ‘Remote Control Car Tournament’, a national-level event designed to gather children for a thrilling day of competition and family bonding.
This groundbreaking initiative organised by the nation’s homegrown toy store chain promises to deliver fun and excitement, as well as a chance for participants to win attractive prizes worth up to RM10,000.
The tournament offers lucrative rewards for its top winners, with the champion team to be awarded MR.TOY cash vouchers worth RM3,000, trophies and medals.
The first and second runners-up will receive cash vouchers worth RM2,000 and RM1,000, respectively, while eight consolation prize winners will each be awarded MR.DIY cash vouchers worth RM500 and a medal.
Participants must form a two-member team comprising of one adult and one child.
The competition format involves two racing laps, with each team member completing one lap. The team with fastest overall lap time from each state and Federal Territory will qualify for the grand finale, ensuring an exciting lineup of competitors from across Malaysia.
The tournament is divided into two stages: the state tournament and the grand finale.
The state tournament is will be taking place from Dec 14 to 15 at 20 selected MR.TOY stores, with this leg of the competition aiming to identify 11 finalist teams who will be representing their state and Federal Territory at the grand finale.
Meanwhile, the grand finale will take place on Dec 28 at MR.DIY Plus located at IPC Shopping Centre, Selangor, where the finalists will compete to be crowned as the ultimate champion.
To help participants prepare, MR.TOY is offering pre-tournament practice sessions from Dec 7 to 13 at the selected 20 MR.TOY stores.
